Bronze, silver and chains – Viking Age Jewellery in Finland

Jewellery was an integral part of a Finnish woman’s costume during the Viking Age or the Iron Age. I have now been collecting a set of suitable bronze, brass and silver jewellery that is based on archaeological finds in Finland. These will be an important part of my Finnish Iron-Age costume.

The whole set

The shoulder brooches and the chains.

The necklace:

Glass bead and coin neclace.

The next time you will see how the peplos and the whole costume came together. See you then! Bye!
