Ottobre design 4/2017 9. Black Rabbit turtleneck
This yellow ribbed jersey was just perfect for Ottobre design 4/2017-19 Black Rabbit pattern that is a modern loose fitted turtleneck. The collar and the cuffs were cut of single fabric and edges were finished with rolled hems that were made with a serger.

A dress for my first-grader
Hello all! My little girl is not so little anymore and she is starting school this autumn. Although it is still July my thoughts are already in the autumn and I have started to plan clothes for the cooler months. S has grown several inches since the spring and I’m afraid that almost everything in her closet is too small. This has given me an opportunity to sew as much as I want! I couldn’t resist these wonderful geometric prints that I encountered at Kangaskapina fabric shop in Helsinki. (Btw. they say they also deliver also outside Finland. Ruffles for a skater girl
My daughter seems to have grown out of her old tees and although the weather has been cool she desperately needed some new ones. I decided to try something different and chose the Ottobre Design 3/2012 pattern number 17. Seesaw. This is basically a raglan t-shirt with some ruffles on the sleeves. For some reason this project was full of errors and ripping. I have gotten used to sewing with wovens and using the same kind of constructions over and over again so I ended up sewing the sleeves on the wrong way and had to rip them off. I was determined to make the neckline using my new cover stitch…
