    July 17, 2017 / 13 Comments

With or without lace? I am making an Edwardian sho With or without lace? I am making an Edwardian shortwaist and started with the yoke. Yes, my pin tucks are a bit wonky but I’m not going to worry about it. I have been thinking of what to sew next and while I have been thinking of what to sew next and while searching for inspiration online I came across some images of old 1890s paper dolls from Boston Sunday Herald. I found this pretty blouse in a thrift store and w I found this pretty blouse in a thrift store and wanted to make it suit better with my historical style. It already had puffed sleeves, lace inserts and pin tucks but it had a neckline that was too big and well... more lace can't hurt, right? So, I lifted the neckline with lace and added vertical ruffles. Then, I made a white cotton tulle guimpe to wear underneath. My dwarf hamster’s new habitat. I hacked the Ike My dwarf hamster’s new habitat. I hacked the Ikea Rudsta cabinet by sawing the legs off, turning the cabinet on its back and replacing the door glass with a grid. I also made some new furniture out of plywood. The sand bath are is an old flowerpot that has support from below so that it doesn’t trap my hamster. Plus, the support has a secret hamster house that he might find if he starts digging tunnels! The bonus points include that the door is not tight fitting which allows hanging stuff from the edge with hooks. #hamster #dwarfhamster #hamsterhabitat #hamsterheaven #hamsterterrarium #lovehamster #hamsterfun #diyhamstercage #ikeahack #ikeahackers #ikeahamstercage #ikearudsta
