An Edwardian corset cover out of silk curtains
I made an Edwardian corset cover out of leftover curtain silk after finishing my Victorian silk petticoat. So much ruffle!

Sitten näin monta upeaa versiota Closet Case patternsin Carolyn pyjama -kaavasta ja tajusin, että olin löytänyt kaavani. Carolyn pyjama kaava on saatavana englanniksi ja ranskaksi sekä paperisena, että PDF-muodossa. Kaava tarjoaa kolme erilaista pyjamavaihtoehtoa. Itse päätin tehdä vaihtoehdon B, joka on perinteinen pitkälahkeinen ja -hihainen pyjama terenauhoilla ja kauniilla lahje ja hihakäänteillä. Vaihtoehto A on hyvin samantapainen, mutta ilman käänteitä…
Shy Bear dress (Ottobre 04/2017 12.)
The schools start on Thursday next week here in Finland and my first-grader is waiting for her first school day enthusiastically. I found some really nice jerseys at Eurokangas and wanted to make something cool and modern but still comfortable. I chose the Ottobre 04/2017 12. Shy bear. Shy bear is a perfect pattern to combine two different fabrics with its different top and bottom parts. Handy little pockets are hidden in the seam. The name of the pattern comes from a really cute bear face appliqué. I left the appliqué out this time but am planning to use it in some other version of this dress. The sleeves are 3/4…

Donna Karan top and floral capris
For a while ago I bought V1440 pattern from the Donna Karan collection since I thought the white top looked interesting. This collection had also a pair of basic leggings and a jacket. I had some leftover navy blue poplin left after making a shirt for my husband and that was just enough for this blouse. The sizes range from 6 to 14 but again as with most of the big pattern companies there is a ridiculous amount of ease involved. Navy blue shirtdress with triangles
I found this lovely viscose print fabric from factory remains section of the local fabric Shop Eurokangas and didn’t even have to think whether to buy it. I absolutely love the orange and white triangles on the navy background. The fabric piece was big so there was no doubt that I could make a dress out of it. McCall’s 7351 was listed as one of the best patterns of 2016 on patternreview.com website. I love shirtdresses so I ordered the pattern when I saw it was on sale a few months ago.
