Sheona dress by Athina Kakou
I tested the new Sheona pattern by Athina Kakou. It is a relaxed jersey shift dress that has plenty of options and is easy and quick to sew.
My Crystal Cove Cami
I wanted to make Crystal Cove Cami by Itch to Stitch as soon as the pattern came out. I like how light and floaty it is and the back detail is so pretty!
Bootstrapfashion 4261 ruffle blouse
This Bootstrapfashion 4261 ruffle blouse is again part of my Sensible Sewing Challenge. It closely resembles the Lekala dress I made last year, except being a bit more fitted and having a key-hole neckline instead of a pleated one. (The Bootstrapfashion and Lekala are both official resellers of Leko patterns, so that’s the reason behind similarities.) If you are not yet familiar with Bootstrapfashion patterns, they are sewing patterns that are customized to your measurements. 1940s tea dress by Sew Over It

Ottobre Marley shorts for my son
I made another pair of Ottobre Marley shorts for my son who seems to have outgrown all his old pairs. This time I added more pockets and bright coloured topstitching.
Plissé technique at home – Kankaan pliseeraus kotona
I taught myself how to make beautiful plissé fabric at home. It's not an easy process but you don't need any special equipment more complicated than an ordinary domestic steaming iron. What you need is patience but the results can be breathtaking!
Book review: The Secrets of Sewing Lingerie
I bought the wonderful book, The Secrets of Sewing Lingerie by Katherine Sheers and Laura Stanford and tested the first recommended project, Pretty as a Picnic cotton mini. These knickers out of cotton lawn were very fast to make and fit nicely.
A quick and easy t-shirt with a Hey June Aurora pattern
I made the Hey June Aurora top using black and white patterned jersey. I had to modify the pattern slightly due to lack of enough fabric but the result is a great top that I have been wearing almost constantly after finishing it.
Hey June Handmade Aurora top
Aurora top has a slouchy fit through the body and dolman sleeve, and a fitted long lower sleeve. I made mine out of black roma ponte with patterned insets.
