    Robot shirt and a hat (Ottobre 4/2018 19. and Ottobre 4/2012 41.)

    September 2, 2018 / 4 Comments

The Ottobre design magazine 4/2018 19. Space adventurer was a good basic t-shirt pattern for my son. I also had enough fabric to make a matching hat.

    Named Clothing Kielo wrap dress

    June 19, 2018 / 7 Comments

I knew that Kielo is a very popular pattern but would it work for me? I decided to find out! I bought the pattern and then went around the booths until I found a nice organic jersey for it at Nuppu print company with a beautiful print designed by Satu Kontinen.

    Shirred dress in yellow

    May 26, 2018 / No Comments

Some time ago S found a necklace at a local flea market and bought it. She showed me the picture of a brown haired girl on the pendant and she wanted a similar dress that was on the girl. I thought this gave me a perfect opportunity to practice my skills and make a shirred dress. This mustard yellow jersey knit has been in my stash for quite some time and the colour matched exactly. I, however, wanted something practical that S could wear over the summer. As I had learned how to shirr early this spring I decided to make a shirred dress with tied straps and a frilly hem.…

A quick and easy t-shirt with a Hey June Aurora pattern

    January 30, 2018 / No Comments

I made the Hey June Aurora top using black and white patterned jersey. I had to modify the pattern slightly due to lack of enough fabric but the result is a great top that I have been wearing almost constantly after finishing it.

I designed this sports outfit for my 7-year-old daughter who is into circus and break dancing. My daughter chose the pink fabric with the flame pattern and I added some black jersey to make the outfit less restless. I am super happy with this unique outfit that I drafted from the scratch!

    Winter street dress

    January 10, 2018 / 2 Comments

Somebody pointed out the Winter Street Dress pattern for me when I was compiling my list of pattern companies. I was vaguely aware of the fact that PatternReview.com had some exclusive patterns but I had never tried any of them. This dress was something I have been looking for a while. I had this black jersey crepe fabric that would make a great little black dress. (I don’t know any other name for this fabric. It looks like a crepe from the outside, but jersey from the inside and it is very stretchy and comfortable.) I thought this would be a quick project but I stumbled into many fitting issues.…

I think that this red Moneta dress is one of my most favourite makes for this year! I am wearing it right now and it is super comfortable but still cute and the colour brightens my day.
