Named Clothing Kielo wrap dress
I knew that Kielo is a very popular pattern but would it work for me? I decided to find out! I bought the pattern and then went around the booths until I found a nice organic jersey for it at Nuppu print company with a beautiful print designed by Satu Kontinen.
1950s dress McCall’s M7748
I made a gorgeous McCall's M7748 dress to wear for my cousin's wedding. This pattern is from the Archive collection and approximately from the year 1957. This dress took me several days to make but I can say that taking the time really pays off with this dress and the final dress fits and looks nice.
Pin-up Girls Alyssa foam-cup bra
Now that I have a tested pattern for a foam-cup bra I wanted to make something pretty with lace. Luckily the Pin-up Girls Alyssa has lace covered foam cups. I did make, however, some modifications...
Ommel 2018: The second day
During my second day at Ommel 2018, I met so many amazing and creative people. I saw people learning new skills and show their makes and learned something new at the same time. And as you might have expected, I bought some more fabric!
Liikunnalliselle nuorelle neidille mekko-shortsihaalariyhdistelmä on yliveto.
Me Made May wrap-up
It's officially June and the end of Me Made May '18. What did I learn? What was challenging and what easy? What did I end up making? Did I reach my goals?
Shirred dress in yellow
Some time ago S found a necklace at a local flea market and bought it. She showed me the picture of a brown haired girl on the pendant and she wanted a similar dress that was on the girl. I thought this gave me a perfect opportunity to practice my skills and make a shirred dress. This mustard yellow jersey knit has been in my stash for quite some time and the colour matched exactly. I, however, wanted something practical that S could wear over the summer. As I had learned how to shirr early this spring I decided to make a shirred dress with tied straps and a frilly hem.…
My first bra: Pin-up Girls Amanda
After gathering materials all over the globe and taking Craftsy courses on bra making I have finally finished my first ever bra. I used Pin-up Girls Amanda pattern to make a pink seamless t-shirt bra. I found the whole process of bra making super fun and the finished bra looks professionally made.
1940s tea dress by Sew Over It
I got this fabric from Artenio at the same time with the mustard yellow one for this Amelia dress. It took me quite some time to decide on the pattern. I did not have a lot of fabric so many dresses with their circle skirts were unfortunately out of question. Finally, I decided to make the 1940s tea dress by Sew Over It.
Ottobre Marley shorts for my son
I made another pair of Ottobre Marley shorts for my son who seems to have outgrown all his old pairs. This time I added more pockets and bright coloured topstitching.
