Red pussy bow blouse from Lekala 4420

I picked one meter of this lovely floral viscose a while ago and was determined to make a blouse out of it. I wanted to remake the spring blouse that many people complimented. (Lekala 4420 with modifications.) However, there was not enough fabric even after I decided to cut the sleeves sideways. I had luck, though, and found a piece of red chiffon that matched exactly the red of the viscose. As I now had plenty of material I changed the bias bound collar into a pussy bow blouse.

I like Lekala 4420 pattern that can be easily modified into different blouses. However, I must remember to add a bit width to the hem the next time since I think the blouse might drape more nicely with a bit extra ease at the hem. I used to be quite a bit narrower when I ordered this custom-fitted pattern. What I also would like try try is to move the pleats at the neckline to the shoulders. I think this could be done quite easily and it would again make a completely new look.

The winter solstice is today! I am so happy that the days are going to get longer now. Taking the photos inside when it’s always dark is very difficult, so excuse my blurry photos!
